Bitfinex Exchange Collaborates With Celsius Network

Bitfinex exchange has announced a collaboration between them and Celsius Network Limited, a Crypto currency lending and borrowing platforms in order to allow customers have access to services that will enable them to earn rewards on their Crypto currency holdings.

Now, users can open an account with the Celsius Network and be in control of it through the Bitfinex Crypto exchange customers are entitled to earn a return even up to 6.2% APY(Annual Percentage Yield) on Bitcoin and up to 9.65% on both Ethereum and other different top Crypto currencies accepted.

Customers are in control of funds and can decide to withdraw funds from Celsius at any point in time since it has no-lock-in periods and most importantly with zero fees attached to it. This service gives Celsius an edge over other competitors who have lots of restrictions on users and also large amounts of fees and all that. Celsius users will be receiving rewards on a daily basis but will not be paid out until it is a full week. The rewards are accrued daily, compounded and paid at weekly intervals, the announcement stated.

Celsius Network is a crypto lending app available on Android and iOS devices. It supports over 101,000 users worldwide containing over $730 million in assets. Additionally, the platform has facilitated nearly $5.5 billion in loan originations (about $8.2 billion in today’s BTC prices). The company has made $12 million in interest payments.

The company was founded in 2017 by Alex Mashinsky (CEO) and Daniel Leon (Founding President and COO). Mashinsky is notable for his work bringing cell phone service and free WiFi to the New York City subways, enabling WiFI on U.S. flights, and creating Voice over IP (VoIP). And Leon has had an accomplished career as a social entrepreneur, serving as a leader at several organizations, including Atlis Labs, Beyon3D, and GroundLink.
