Casa Users Can Purchase Bitcoin From their Bank Accounts

Casa, a leading provider of Bitcoin self custody solutions allows its users to buy bitcoin directly from it’s Mobile App. This  is possible through a partnership with Wyre, a world class payment API platform, it is responsible for charging users standard fees for acquisition of cards and usage of those cards. Every purchase made also charges a mining fee since transactions are on -chain.

“By incorporating bitcoin buying directly into a secure self-custody wallet, we remove the friction from the purchasing process while also eliminating the points of failure where users are vulnerable to loss, theft, or fraud,” said Casa CEO Nick Neuman. “Whether you’re an experienced Bitcoin buyer or taking your first steps, there is no easier way to buy Bitcoin while ensuring your investment is secure.”

The service is currently getting rolled out in the U.S and customers who purchase Bitcoin(BTC) would directly get the crypto deposited in their wallets because transactions are on -chain. The maximum Casa customers can purchase with the app is said to be $20,000 worth of Bitcoin on a monthly basis while paying the platform levies  which is a fee of 0.99% on every purchase made.

KYC Reduced As Minimal as Possible

Casa notes that centralize exchange asks for heaps of information during the KYC process and has set out to reduce theirs with it’s partner Wyre. The official announcement says:

We’ve worked with our purchase partner Wyre to keep KYC as minimal as possible – for both your convenience and your safety. Casa never stores KYC data (it’s kept by Wyre), and you don’t need KYC to use Casa App for security. It’s completely up to you: only opt in if you want to purchase bitcoin. And this has absolutely zero impact on existing or future pseudonymous clients. As always with Casa, you’re in complete control.

Casa allows its customers to be in charge of bitcoins purchased by conducting these transactions on-chain. They believe holding your Bitcoin is far more than storing them on an exchange.

Casa is building for a world where self-custody is the default, so you always have control over your wealth. The official announcement stated.
