Wallem is a Pokemon type game that utilizes a 3D map and Augmented Reality (AR)  technology, to place virtual objects in the real world. It has an in-built cryptocurrency wallet and allows its users to find and collect Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies. Crypto picked can then be transferred to external wallets and probably moved to exchanges if they need to sell. The game is also like the popular Aircoins where users would just walk around and pick tokens when found.

“You can walk around outside and get tokens. Based on where you live, they will spawn around you nearby,” explained PewDiePie in the video.

The game rewards it’s players with an Ethereum-based token called Pteria (PTE) and also sets up special events with prizes from major brands like Apple, and Armani.

The game plans to allow players to steal from each other in the future versions to be released. There will be an “open wallet” where the value of tokens stolen will be displayed, players must protect their tokens or move them off the gaming platform.

The NFT market seems to be doing very well, it is reported that almost $1.5million has been spent on NFT sales. It was also discovered through a research company that there is a $100 billion market of gaming platforms which includes Minecraft and Fortnite. Youtubers are now jumping into this market, Pewdiepie’s NFT skin can be brought on Rarible, an NFT marketplace. Tokens bought can also be used in Wallems virtual 3D world and players get to process the NFT’s during special events and benefit from it.

PewDiePie has also ventured into other crypto projects or blockchain-based applications. He partnered with DLive, a decentralized video streaming platform.

The race for this year will commence in the first week of December and top 3 winners get to share from the pool of 1.5 BTC in prize money. Last year the money was 1.5 BTC and was divided into 3: men, women and the development category which involves the non-white bikers.

The racers run across more than 1000 kilometers through the semi-desert Karoo and get to rest, eat and get mechanical aid in 5 different race villages.

The director of Munga MTB race Harris explained that their sponsor Bitstamp had initiated the idea of using Bitcoin as a form of payment; this made them convert the prize money as at that time to the equivalent in Bitcoin. Harris goes on to further explain the distribution of the price money to the winners. He explains that the Bitcoin goes to the “Munga Bitstamp account” since the South Africa Reserve Bank (SARB) is yet to regulate cryptocurrency. The winners of the race gets to decide if they want the Bitcoin or ask for the coins to be sold and fiat sent to them

Ubisoft 

Ubisoft is known for developing awesome games like Rayman, and even gaming franchises like Assassin creed, Far cry and Just Dance. They also developed CrypotKitties, a collectible game which created Much network congestion that it was able to crash the Ethereum network back in 2017.

Users can purchase these tokens (Rabbids) using their Ethereum, the token exists as an erc-721 non fungible token (NFTs).

The game itself is designed to easily connect with your wallet such as Meta mask. When a player purchases a Token, funds used to purchase goes directly to United Nations Children Funds (UNICEF), the organization announced in Oct. 2019 that they would be accepting donations in BTC and ETH. The funds gotten from the donations are used to support projects that are beneficial to children and also young people around the globe.

Infinite Fleet is a revolutionary Sci-Fi game that operates with Bitcoin’s side chain.

Infinite Fleet announced that the game is being backed by major Crypto players, like Litecoin Founder: Charlie Lee, Whale Panda, Adam Back, Phil Potter and Max Keiser among others. 

Some of these individuals will have their likeness used as characters in the game. 

The Game and Crypto

The Infinite Fleet is an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online game) and although not built on a blockchain has its currency INF issued as a Crypto asset. They look to Integrate the AAA industry with the Cryptocurrency. 

Hope Fan, the CMO of Pixelmatic stated. 

“…we realize that in order to actually onboard players, the game itself must first be good and have depth. As such, the Infinite Fleet game is not on the blockchain, however, the game currency is issued as a crypto asset, so that players will have the option of extracting value from the game and moving it outside, which is potentially powerful.”

Since the token is built on a blockchain, it means users get to exchange them on exchanges and Hope Fan confirmed this by saying that the company had plans to list the tokens sometime after launch. Also adding to that, he stated there will be no other means of getting these tokens except if you play the game. They have no plans of running an ICO or any coin sales. 

“INF can only be earned via in-game participation as a reward, which will then act as the medium of exchange for the game’s player-to-player marketplace. We are not selling INF and it should discover its own market value organically, depending on players and player-created benefits. There will be a fixed total supply of INF, which will be gradually distributed over a long period of time via in-game participation.”

Adoption of the Game 

Outside of the fact that the game would have awesome features like steroid mining, fleets of spaceships and real time strategy style combat, the cryptocurrency public figures are brought in to help gain massive adoption from users within and outside of the Cryptocurrency space. 

Release

Pixelmatic plans on launching an alpha version of the game by the end of the year, with the full game rolling out by end of 2021.

“Currently we are planning to make an alpha release by the end of this year, with the full game likely ready by some point in 2021,” said Hope Fan
