Two U.S tech firms are developing NASA a blockchain-based communication solution. Orbit Logic and The Fraunhofer USA Center for Experimental Software Engineering are the two firms based in the United States who are currently building NASA a blockchain-based communication system that is believed to have potential.
Both companies won $124,8000 in NASA funding Tuesday to build “Space Communication Reconstruction and Mapping with Blockchain Ledgering (SCRAMBL).
The system will utilize the blockchain technology to store and distribute a ledger containing satellite constellation-relevant shared data which will enable satellite on board Anatomy cooperative attendance of individual assets to system-level needs and objectives. The blockchain will help them spread data between networking satellites, will help increase their communication and overall activities.
