The launch of Mainnet comes with an active ecosystem and real world use cases including Nebula Genomics, a Crypto Safe Alliance (which includes Binance and others), enterprise partners. The Mainnet network will be fully backward compatible with Ethereum thereby allowing developers to easily port new or waiting Decentralized Application (Dapp’s) to the Oasis network. The team has already started development in deploying Ethereum Dapps to the Oasis Network, this development includes Uniswap and the data governance and privacy API parcel.

The Mainnet will support Confidential Computing, a process where data is kept encrypted and private even while being processed by a node on the network. Developers who wish to use this feature must have their applications built on ParaTime, applications built on ParaTime can leverage confidential compute to protect data while also getting the benefits of immutability and traceability of a blockchain.

The newly launched mainnet makes it possible for lesser or lower fees to be paid while developing on the blockchain. It is designed in a lightweight, scalable manner and prevents front running while allowing lower fees. This development is aimed at helping the DeFi sector since one of the challenges currently faced within the DeFi space is the high cost of transaction fees paid by users and smart contract deployers and Dapps.

The Mainnet is built using the same Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) runtime that Ethereum uses but faster and more affordable for prospective users. Developers can deploy their Dapps to the network if they want since it supports the entire Solidity tool chain.

Linear Finance started their journey with the aim of building a synthetic asset protocol that would actually be used seamlessly and effectively, they faced some challenges that existed in that sector such as the problem of front running caused by traders taking advantage of slow price updates. The Linear team believes Band Protocol to be one of the strongest solutions for scalability and such has partnered with them.

The Linear Finance team hope to leverage some of Bands protocol use cases such as high throughput and latency with low block times without compromising on cost effectiveness as offered by Band Protocol.  Band Protocol

Band Protocol is a cross-chain data oracle platform that aggregates and connects real-world data and APIs to smart contracts. Blockchains are great at immutable storage and deterministic, verifiable computations — however, they cannot securely access data available outside the blockchain networks. Band Protocol enables smart contract applications such as DeFi, prediction markets, and games to be built on-chain without relying on the single point of failure of a centralized oracle.

The official announcement states that the Delphi Network will typically reduce the amount of gas consumed by around 75% due to a number of improvements to the blockchain Michelson interpreter. Storage costs have also been reduced to about 4 times lower compared to its initial cost.

“When you combine upgrade regularity with the reduced gas costs that this particular upgrade brings, Tezos is ripe for DeFi development,” noted Hugo Renaudin, co-founder of LGO Group and founder of Bender Labs.

The Ethereum gas prices are different to that of  Tezos, unlike Ethereum, gas is not used to pay fees on Tezos, they mainly serve as a limiter to prevent apps from consuming too much computing power. Gas prices are paid dude to the complexity of computations that are required to perform any given operations.

Gabriel Alfour, the lead developer at Marigold who served as a core developer of the Delphi upgrade spoke on the importance of low gas cost for DeFi applications.

“With the Delphi upgrade, the Tezos protocol has become significantly more attractive for DeFi applications and experimentation with complex smart contracts due to dramatically reduced gas costs, Alfour said.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Decentralized application (DApps) have gained momentum since early this year. The demand for the DeFi ecosystem grew greatly and even raised concern for Ethereum gas prices. To eliminate this from happening again the Ethereum Network is going to launch ETH 2.0. Tezos upgrade might help DeFi builders cut down on cost and to use the Tezos blockchain more.

Tezos

Tezos is an open-source platform for assets and applications backed by a global community of validators, researchers, and builders.

The IOHK  CEO noted that they are working on a simple Erc-20 converter, this will help migrate erc-20 tokens to a Cardano Testnet in a test run. An external company is taking charge of these developments, through this converter, moving of tokens from the Ethereum Network to the Cardano Network becomes possible and easy. 

Valuable DApps that would perform useful functions within the ecosystem would be launched by the Plutus Foundation and Guogen Developments team. 

Charles also said that by December, developers will be able to create, test and execute  Smart Contracts. 

Everyone or company that plans on building a DApp on Cardanos Blockchain is working with this acronym in mind ACID which stands for Adoption, Collaboration, Incentive and Deployment. In the video, Hoskinson explains these terms.

Charles plans to stay with the project until all that is needed is put in place, after which the Cardano project will operate in a decentralized manner.

Matic Network made this announcement on the 8th of July. They are running this program in partnership with Gitcoin, a group of developers that work remotely to build web3. With this strategic partnership, they aim at increasing and incentivizing the Mainnet Adoption.

CAMPAIGN

Matic hopes to cater to DApp Developers from project inception to the finish and operational stage. The program will include a Build and Earn Feature, this will help provide developers with monthly recurring incentives to help bootstrap their team. The program also includes a Hackerone Bug Bounty; this is meant for security researchers for a full year. They also have the Matic Layer 2 Security Hackathon, this is a $500,000 plus bounty that is aimed at attracting developers to improve Matic Layer 2 Security. You can check out more here.

Gitcoin Collaboration

Matic’s collaboration with Gitcoin is aimed at attracting protocol developers and security researchers or experts to review, contribute and improve the Matic Layer 2 Protocol and security. They are inviting all hackers, attackers, engineers and security researchers to take part in this program so as to help ensure the robustness and security of the network.

Chainlink will be integrated into the network through IRITA interchain service hub, the service hub will enable BSN blockchain to receive eternal offchain data through Chainlink Oracle.

SDN Pool will aid the operation by providing professional node services t help run the network. This will help anyone or developers building on BSN to have access to high-quality data through Chainlink which wuld make those applications more useful and relevant to the real-world.

Prototype

BSN and SNZ Pool have allocated resources that will help in supporting the development of a prototype. A Demo is being worked on that will show the value of Chainlink Oracle through  the IRITA interchain service hub.

One of the main purposes of BSN is to provide interoperability to all DApps, regardless of whether they are for permissioned chains or public chains. On BSN, each Dapp should be able to call any other Dapps in a very convenient and low-cost way. This collaboration with Chainlink, IRITA, and SNZ Pool will help us achieve this goal and ensure that BSN users reach new levels of security, reliability, and interconnectivity. sated Yifan He, CEO of Red Date Technology and co-founder of BSN.

Blockchain Name service helps solve the problems of long complicated addresses, take for example a Tezos wallet address. One can not easily read or memorize the Alphanumeric patterns of wallet addresses and this applies to all cryptocurrency wallet addresses out there. The Naming system solves this problem by attaching human readable wallet addresses to those standard addresses. An example to quickly understand the system is: say you wanted to replace a standard wallet address like tz52VS….kcjb with an easy readable form like this Sam.tez . This simple form will allow users to easily read and memorize wallet addresses and might not copy paste your address the next time they need to send you some Tezos. It also helps Developers to attach names to their smart contracts making it easier for Dapps to discover and interact with those contracts. Miroslav pointed out that this is only an early draft and is likely to be changed along the way. You can see the proposal here. 

Further Info

The project plans to sell names at open action, bidding will be public and names sold to the highest bidder. Domain names that are expired or had no buyers previously will be sold using the FIFS model of First come first Serve. 

They plan to make Tezos name system to initially support a limited set of characters that will not share lookalike characters with other platforms, this is to help avoid phishing attacks. They plan on launching the service supporting Latin (pure ASCII) names which will be ending with .tez top level domain. 

He also stated that they plan on supporting Unicodes later in the future if the risks are reduced. 

Other Projects that offer Naming service. 

There seem to be a lot of projects with Blockchain Names out there, one notable is the Ethereum Name service which has been integrated with other platforms like Meta-mask. 

Other notable projects are NEO, Zilliqa, Name coin etc. 

They have completed public tests on shielded transactions, deployed testNet and have also implemented instructions for the Zero-knowledge protocol zk-SNARKs.

The TRONZ Foundation adds privacy as an option to open or transparent transactions, they pointed out in their published medium article that TRX transactions will still be transparent and not anonymous in any way even after the upgrade to TRON 4.0. This is because TRON is working on having a safe public chain that complies with global regulations and policies.

HOW TO USE THE SHIELDED PROTOCOL ON TRON

All TRC-20 standards tokens whether issued or not on TRONS blockchain will be supported by the TRON 4.0 Smart contract upgrade.

Developers can adopt the privacy features that come with the new upgraded protocol by simply implementing the Smart contract.

The TRONZ Foundation do not plan on issuing any tokens on this contract, since they have adequate funds and active developers on board. The Foundation however has decided to make the TRONZ Smart Contract Privacy Protocol full open-sourced, they also plan on dedicating sufficient capital to help develop the TRON Community.

TRX vs ETH

Some might argue that there exist a competition between these projects as we have both CEOs have some word fights over the years, one of those was when Trons Dapps were used more than that of Eths.

This has created some bit of division between supporters of these 2 great projects. ETH plans to launch ETH 2.0 which amongst other things will come with ETH 2.0 Staking allowing stakers earn passive income, also Sharding which will deal with the scalability issues on the Ethereum blockchain.

Last month, on the 23rd, Justin had tweeted a poll which had the question of which was better between TRON 4.0 and ETH 2.0. On the poll TRON won although a lot of users believe Justin had bought votes to win it since ETH was leading initially.

The crypto-sphere is quite a big one and large enough to contain a lot of promising projects out there. Whether or not ETH or TRON is better will be decided when both protocols are launched, for us we hope all protocols are utilized for what they offer.

Studying these courses would include live online courses and expert sessions taught by individuals who are professional on the blockchain industry. They could also have this courses taught in public campus and universities. Students will learn about Blockchain related topics and techs like blockchain, Smart contracts, Dapps among other things.

The two initiatives plan on building a talent pool for the blockchain industry. This should help deal with the ever rising demand for blockchain experts in the space. With the Covid-19 global pandemic turning both individuals and companies to blockchain technology, the hunt for cryptocurrency or blockchain experts has risen tremendously.  The official web page for the blockchain courses for idealabs has had a 290% increase in the number of blockchain jobs.
