Twitch , one of the major Live-stream platforms that boast of 15 million daily active users is offering subscribers that pay with cryptocurrency a 10% discount.
The Platform accepts cryptocurrency payment via BitPay’s crypto processing system. Payment in crypto can be made with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) and Bitcoin cash (BCH), they also accept 4 stable coins – PAX, USDC, BUSD, GUSD.
We are seeing more online merchants interested in using crypto as a promotional payment form (…) Twitch is the first major merchant to jump on this trend. – Bill Zielke, BitPay’s chief marketing officer said.

Twitch was launched in 2011 and has improved since then. It was bought by Amazon in 2014 for $970 million at the same time period it had 55 million users.
Twitch is commonly or is popular among gamers since they are more of them who conduct live streams on the platform. It does however feature other entertainment. It currently has over 27,000 partner channels and 2.2 million monthly broadcasters.
Other Platforms
Microsoft allows users to top up their accounts with Bitcoin which is then used on Microsoft Xbox stores.
Announcements like this do help the crypto community active and strong, we can only imagine with time those numbers would be interested in crypto and blockchain technology.
