Coinbase Announces Support for Algorand (ALGO)

The US leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced that they will support Algorand on their exchange coinbase.com. These will allow their customers from supported regions to buy, sell, send, convert and receive ALGO on Coinbase.io.

ALGO got listed on Coinbase Pro last August and recently announced that it will start supporting EUR and GBP trading on July 21. ALGO is also supported by Coinbase Custody for storage and staking.

“One of the most common requests we hear from customers is to be able to buy and sell more cryptocurrencies on Coinbase. We announced a new process for listing assets, designed in part to accelerate the addition of more cryptocurrencies. We are also investing in new tools to help people understand and explore cryptocurrencies.”

Algorand is a project with goals of improving decentralisation, scalability and security, they aim at solving some of the technical barriers existing in blockchain technology.

It was launched in June 2019 and is founded by Silvio Micali. Algorand will help provide foundation for projects both new and existing ones to operate globally in the decentralized economy.
