Messari Analyst sees BTC hitting $50k if Institutions invest 1% in Crypto

Ryan Watkins, a Messari Analyst yesterday tweeted an analysis on what would happen to Bitcoin and by extension the cryptocurrency world if just 1% of institutional investors funds was invested in Bitcoin. He estimated a pump to $50,000 and a market cap of $1 trillion. 

What would it look like if institutional investors followed Paul Tudor Jones and allocated a “low single-digit percentage” to #Bitcoin?

Paul Tudor Jones, an institutional investor had earlier indicated he’s interest in Bitcoin and even claimed to have 2% of his portfolio in Bitcoin. He encouraged other institutional investors to do the same stating that he recognizes Bitcoin “potential in a period when we have the most unorthodox economic policies in modern history.”

From time immemorial, institutional investors have only invested a small portion of their capital into cryptocurrency, this could be because of regulatory uncertainty or concerns over hacking and fraud amongst other things.
