Mercedes-Benz Parent Company Partners With Ocean Protocol

Daimler AG, the parent company and owner of the popular Mercedes-Benz has partnered with Ocean Protocol, a decentralized data exchange protocol. Ocean protocol helps developers build marketplaces and other apps to privately and securely collect, exchange and consume data.

The partnership aims at helping Daimler AG to privately collect and package data for monetization through the blockchain technology. They will help the firm In collating and monetizing the firm’s data.

Daimler AG plans to utilize the Oceans recently launched “Compute-to-Data ” protocol, This protocol allows entities and companies to maintain privacy of their information while allowing third-parties to analyze those data. The results of that analysis are then packaged for monetization or are shared to inform researchers and technological researchers.
